While I do love showing off my pedicure with sandals during the summer months, my favorite shoe season is definitely fall. Here are the 5 types of shoes that I can't make it though the season without, along with my budget-friendly picks for this season:
Ballet Flats. These are by far the most worn type of shoes in my closet. The bright Hush Puppies up top are actually a favorite of mine - I have them in 3 colors. As a city girl, I couldn't make it to and from work each day without a comfy pair to commute in.
A Little Leopard. It was Jenna Lyons that said "As far as I'm concerned, leopard is a neutral," and I couldn't agree more. I think the fall months are the perfect time to add a little pop to looks with the fun pattern, and fun details like toe bows make them even more desirable to me.
Suede Heels. Don't get me wrong, I still wear leather throughout the cooler months, but I love when I can finally break out my favorite suede heels.
Booties. These are a new obsession of mine, and I think they're perfect for the months where it's just starting to get cold. And bonus - they also look great with skirts and dresses.
Riding Boots. These have been a closet staple of mine for several years. My favorite pair of brown riding boots were purchased at a Black Friday sale when I was still in high school, and with a little TLC I'm happy to say they are still in very good condition. That doesn't keep me from window shopping though - I may have to add the two-tone Life Stride boots to my closet this season.
What are your favorite things to break out of your closet once summer is done?
